Car history: |
Here's a 1979 Corvette (Rocket). This car is way too scary- fast, with a new motor ZZ383 Crate Engine with 425 hp. With GM's Legendary FAST BURN Cylinder heads. If you're looking for a small- block package that delivers big-block power, then you've found it. 425 horsepower at in incredibly low 5,400 RPM, and 460 ft. lbs of torque at 4,500 RPM makes this the ideal hot street engine. Compression is at 9.6 to 1. and uses pump gas. The motor has a stout .509/.528 lift, steel camshaft with 222/230 duration at .050 lift. Hydraulic roller lifters and GM's time tested 1.5 to 1 roller rocker arms round out the valve train. Has a tunnel ram, aluminum radiatior. Has a new transmission. All with paper work. The motor alone was $5,316.99 and the transmission was $1,272.50. I am selling this for a friend. He's having trouble making his house payments. He's got around $27k in it. I believe the warranty is transferable on the trans and the Motor. It has expensive new Firestone (Indianapolis Motor Speedway) P225/60R15 1025 Front Radials. Also Back tires are new. Carb. float bowls have been chromed. This car is trick. The only thing that I would replace is the door inside panels and that's it, other than that, the car is clean. I don't think this car is for a young kid, it's really fast, Plus it has brand new T-Tops and those were $1,200 smoked glass. Or remove them and drive it like a convertible. The paint is great with the stripes painted in a semi heavy burgandy metal flake. Reminds me of that funny car back in the 60's. Even sounds like a funny car when it's running with those side header pipes.
